President Tinubu has been dragged to court by 11 PDP governors over the state of Emergency rule in Rivers State

Recall that President Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, following the clash of horns between the state governor, Governor Siminilaye Fubara and the FCT minister, Barr Nyesom Wike.

Installing Retired Naval Officer Ibok, who is from Cross Rivers State as the Sole Administrator for the period of 6 months.

While this is being challenged by opposition and citizens, the sole Administrator has resumed work. Meanwhile, the governors of Adamawa, Enugu, Osun, Oyo, Bauchi, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Delta, Taraba, Zamfara, and Bayelsa states have filed a suit against the President.

The filing of the suit marked SC/CV/329/2025, was confirmed by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Supreme Court, Dr. Festus Akande.
