Popular Nigerian socialite, Obi Cubana is trending online after he bagged a doctorate.
The senate of Enugu state university awarded the businessman an honorary doctorate in Business Administration.
On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Obi Cubana was decorated with the award by the governor of Enugu state, Lawrence Ifeanyi Uguwanyi.

Obi Cubana, regarded as one of the richest Nigerians under 40, shared his achievements on social media and would now be addressed as Dr Obinna Iyiegbu.
On his official Instagram page, he said, “Ladies and Gentlemen….You may wish to address me henceforth as Dr. Obinna Iyiegbu. Okpataozueora 1! (Dr. Of Business Administration). Thank you the mgt, staff and students of Enugu State University (ESUT).”
The nightlife king and philanthropist, whose real name is Obinna Iyiegbu, is loved by many Nigerians.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman made history, becoming the first black woman to bag a PhD in pure mathematics from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Professor Oghenetega Ighedo had her first degree at Delta State University before she obtained a master’s degree in Pure Mathematics from Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan.
In the 149-year existence of the University of South Africa, no black woman had completed a PhD in pure mathematics until the Nigerian academician arrived.
