Kunle Afolayan, a Nigerian actor and filmmaker, has revealed that his latest project, Anikulapo, will not be nominated for an Academy Award.
In a recent tweet, Afolayan stated that he is pleased that many people have tagged Anikulapo as a masterpiece, despite the fact that the Nigeria Oscar selection committee believes it is not worth submitting.
The setback, however, means nothing to the filmmaker, who has vowed to keep doing what he does best.
