Ayra Starr has opened up about her struggles in high school, revealing that her female teachers told her she would never amount to anything in life.
The “Rush” crooner narrated how her female teachers used to gather around her, punish her, and speak ill of her just because she painted one of her fingernails pink.

Despite the harsh treatment she received, Ayra remained resolute and was always confident that she would make it in life, despite her tears.
“I remember when all my female teachers gathered and knelt down to tell me I’ll never be anything in life just because I painted one fingernail pink, but even back then with the tears in my eyes, I always knew I was the shit,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
The singer’s revelation has sparked conversations on social media, with many people condemning the actions of the teachers and applauding Ayra for her determination and self-belief.
