A 2-year-old boy that a Hippopotamus reportedly swallowed in Uganda on Sunday, December 4, has miraculously survived.
CNN reported that the Hippopotamus had swallowed half of the boy’s body before spitting him out.
According to a report by Ugandan Police, the 2-year-old boy named Iga Paul had been playing at his home in Rwenjubu cell, Lake Katwe, when the unfortunate incident occurred.

How The Boy Survived
A spokesman for Ugandan Police said, “It took the bravery of one Chrispas Bagonza, who was nearby, to save the victim after he stoned the hippo and scared it, causing it to release the victim from its mouth.”
The statement added that the boy sustained injuries on one hand and was swiftly taken to a nearby clinic for medical attention before he was later transferred to Bwera Hospital, west Uganda, for further treatment.
The 2-year-old has fully recovered and has been discharged. He has also been vaccinated for rabies before being reunited with his parents.
The Police statement confirmed that the Hippopotamus was scared back into the lake but advised that all residents residing near animal sanctuaries and habitats should know that wild animals are very dangerous.

Meanwhile, on returning from school, a young Nigerian boy broke down in tears, asking his mum for a kid brother or sister.
The boy’s mum tried to soothe her little boy, who was already crying, insisting that he needed a younger brother or sister.
In a TikTok video shared by Dera Francis, the boy’s demands touched his mother so much that she started weeping profusely.
