Buhari applauds Hilda Baci as she finally breaks world record for longest cooking time

President Muhammadu Buhari has penned down words of encouragement and praise to Hilda Baci, a young woman who is making history at the moment as the holder of the longest cooking time in the Guinness Book of Records.

Battabox earlier reported that Hilda Baci has finally broken the previous record for the longest cooking time and is now setting her own record of 9 more hours.

Well, in appreciation of her determination and dedication, President Muhammadu Buhari has taken to Twitter to encourage and praise the 27-year-old chef.

“I share the immense joy of all Nigerians as Hilda Bassey Effiong (Hilda Baci) makes history by breaking the world record for longest cooking marathon. A great day for Nigeria. We’re all very proud of what she has personally accomplished—and placing Nigeria in the global spotlight”

“Hilda’s drive, ambition and resilience have brought great interest and insight into the uniqueness of Nigerian food. She is now a cultural icon, and I believe that this feat will inspire many more young people, in Nigeria and beyond, to follow in her footsteps,” he said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu visits Hilda Baci as she attempts to break world record

Meanwhile, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, showed his support for chef Hilda Baci as she attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.

Chef Hilda Bassey Effiong, popularly known as known as “Hilda Baci,” is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

On Thursday,11th of May she begun a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State where she aimed to cook non-stop for 96 hours, with no sleep for four nights, in an attempt to surpass the current record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.
