Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos has been named the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) by President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, announced the appointment in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
He stated that the initial term of the appointment was three years.
Mr Dembos served as the NTA’s Executive Director of Marketing before his appointment.

Over 20 years have passed since Mr Dembos began his career in the media.
He has held several positions, including Zonal Director at NTA in Kaduna and General Manager of two NTA Stations in Lokoja and Kano.
