After ten years of selling agidi for his mistress, who treated him poorly, Moses Ekeng decided to become his own boss, making and selling agidi.

He said it wasn’t an easy journey at all, as his mistress’s daughter threw away all the agidi he had carried when she met him on the road selling.

The Akwa-Ibom-born indigene added that he dresses in a nice suit and tie so he can stand out and woo many more customers.

According to Moses, his neat dress boosts his business, and this made him nickname his business “educated Agidi.”

He used to dress casually when he started in 2018 but began wearing suits in 2021 because his brand was growing.

Although he was initially ashamed, he summoned courage because his business brought in money. Moses went on to buy many more corporate dresses, including shoes, to fill his wardrobe.

With the proceeds of the business, he also sponsored himself through secondary school.

He revealed that he maintains high hygiene standards in the production of his agidi, which is what stands him out.

The 23-year-old said his dream is to become internationally recognised as the face of agidi in the world with branches globally where prominent individuals and brands can patronise him.
