Popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Cuppy, on Instagram, announced the creation of the Cuppy Africa Scholars Fund. She made the announcement on April 3rd, 2023.
Cuppy, who recently celebrated her graduation from the University of Oxford, set up the fund with a total of £100,000.
The fund is aimed at providing financial assistance for unexpected and urgent needs of African graduate students at the University of Oxford. It will also enable scholars to undertake activities that ensure the pursuit of excellence.

In her own words, the DJ said “Proud to launch the Cuppy Africa Oxford Fund! I just graduated from Oxford_Uni and so this partnership means a lot to me…”
Cuppy further explained that the fund hoped to support future leaders from the African continent by enabling them to access the necessary skills, resources, and networks to maximize their impact.
She concluded by saying, “Over the next 10 years, my hope is to support those in their education journeys and reach their full potential during their time at Oxford and beyond,”
