Expressing his good grasp of knowledge, the doctor educated the public on the two types of glands on the skin – the apocrine gland and eccrine.

The apocrine glands are the glands found in the pubic areas of the body while the eccrine gland is found everywhere else.

Both the apocrine gland and eccrine gland produce sweat in the body but the kind of sweat produced by the apocrine gland is the kind that can be acted on by bacteria and releases body odour.

This type of smell typically starts when the individual attains puberty, so it is usually not noticed when the person is younger.

On this note, knowing to wash the private areas properly will reduce the occurrence of body odour in a person.
