19-year-old daughter of Ludacris gains admission into Spelman University, GA, makes family proud

Karma Bridges, the eldest daughter of renowned actor and musician Christopher Bridges, also known as Ludacris, was admitted to study at the prestigious Spelman University in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 19-year-old enrolled to pursue a degree in Documentary Filmmaking and Film Studies at the renowned Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

Ludacris, who has won three Grammy Awards and several other accolades during his 25-year career as a musician, record producer, and record executive, expressed his pride for his daughter’s achievement.

Chaka Zulu congratulated Karma

Her godfather, Chaka Zulu, shared the good news on Instagram and congratulated the family.

Zulu wrote, “Hey guys, pls celebrate and congratulate my GOD DAUGHTER Karma Bridges as she is headed to SPELMAN COLLEGE this fall.” He also praised Ludacris and his family, saying, “Congrats @ludacris @christine.esq I know y’all are beyond proud.”

Karma is passionate about women’s empowerment, social justice, and art. She aims to use her interest and skills to make a positive impact in the world.

Man who couldn’t speak until age 11 becomes youngest black professor at Cambridge

In another story, an African-American man who could not speak until he was age 11 set a new record at Cambridge university for being the youngest black professor.

The seasoned Sociology professor, Jason Arday, narrated his ups and down while growing up as an autistic child and the important role his mother played in the journey to his success.

Arday said he was diagnosed with global development delay and autism spectrum disorder at three years old when he couldn’t speak as every normal child but could only communicate with sign language.
