Eniola Badmus Biography: Net worth, Husband, Old and New looks

You can’t say the word ‘Secret’ without adding Eniola Badmus to it. In fact, she’s Secret personified! The actress is so secretive that nothing is known about her past lovers, her current lover, and her future lovers.

In an industry where her contemporaries continually oil the rumour mills with tales stranger than fiction, Eniola Badmus has left people in doubt over her children (A daughter? A son? Or mere ‘holy’ rumour?) and husband.

Some people say she’s married to one Seyi. Others say his name is Seun. Though his surname is definitely not Kuti, it’s a conscious act to keep her private life off the radar.

“Even if I settle down, it’s not for the public to know because I am a very private person in my life,” she said.

“Even though I have people I’ve dated in the past, and I have someone I am dating right now, I do not want the public to be a part of my private life.”

Her plan has worked, and an idea for a movie, complete with the script, comes to our mind. Please don’t ask us for it. We want to be like Eniola Badmus and be Secret personified.

We present Eniola Badmus’s biography.

Eniola Badmus: Age

She’s 45 going 46, but there was a time she was 38 going 44! Then she was in the news about the discrepancies in her actual age. She had to scream that “I’m not 44 years old oooo stop adding to my age.”

Noted with thanks, ma!

Eniola Badmus: Education

Gbogbo Bigz Girl, as she’s known, attended Maryland Convent School, Air Force Primary School, and Adeola Elementary School, all in Ijebu Ode, for her nursery and primary education. She went to Anglican Grammar Girls School in the same city for her secondary school education.

Eniola Badmus then proceeded to the University of Ibadan, where she studied Theatre Arts. She has a master’s degree in economics from Lagos State University.

Eniola Badmus’s Movie Career

Shortly after finishing her education, Eniola Badmus ventured into the Nigerian movie industry, aka Nollywood, in the year 2000. She acted in several movies but came into the limelight in 2008 when she was featured in two Yoruba films titled Jenifa and Omo Ghetto.

Eniola Badmus and Funke Akindele

As Gbogbo Bigz Girl in Jenifa, she played the role of a madam who ‘manages’ girls on campus and rents them out to men in need of such services. Don’t ask us about the service. See the movie! She maintained the same stereotypical role in Omo Ghetto, where she was the leader of the group of girls in the hood.

Her performance in the two movies saw her win two awards for the Best Actress Award (Yoruba) at the African Viewer’s Choice Award.

She became a hotcake with movie producers, who were not tired of casting her in a similar ‘bad girl’ role. But she has since acted in over 200 movies and has shed that old image of hers.

“I’ve changed a lot of stuff,” she said.

“I’ve been playing other roles too, and the fact that I play a bad girl role doesn’t mean I am bad, maybe; I’m good at it, though.”

So, hold that thought before you think it portrays her true self.

But then, there are three major challenges of acting. Breaking into the film industry, dealing with finances, and self-esteem issues. With a woman, the list could be longer. For Eniola Badmus, though, the list is blank.

“I’ve been in this industry for a long time; I don’t even look at challenges anymore,” she said.

“When you stay too long in particular stuff, it doesn’t look challenging anymore because my life is all about this that I do. So, I can’t just say one thing is challenging. I try my best in all that I do.”

Upcoming actresses may not have such thick skin as Eniola Badmus. They are bound to face subjective audition processes, inconsistent job security, and low pay at the start of their career.

“They should do what they believe,” she said.

“But they should just do the right thing.”

We don’t know if she had a s3x-for-role in mind.

What’s always on her mind is saying things as they are on and off the screen. During one of her birthday parties, she was seen with bottles of alcohol, looking tipsy. She went for the jugular when asked afterwards.

“When you have a party, you don’t give alcohol? See, I am the kind of person who doesn’t see a thing like that as anything special,” she said.

“How can any typical person have a party without alcohol? I’m not an SU o, let them know. I’m a born-again Christian, but I’m not an SU. When we have parties, we serve alcohol, it is normal. A party without alcohol is nothing. It’s zero.”

And that is the Zeroth Law of Eniola Badmus!

Eniola Badmus’s New Look

Eniola Badmus never thought of losing weight. Her dark side is often revealed when questions about her size crop up.

“Why is this my being big an issue to people?” she wondered.

“Okay, everybody has to be very, very slim, right? In the US, they don’t discriminate like this o. It’s only in Nigeria people get worked up about being a heavyweight person. I understand it is not healthy to be a heavier person at all, but should it be an issue as a lifestyle?”

Her incredible interpretation of roles in Jenifa and Omo Ghetto got the attention of several movie directors and producers in the country. Definitely, her weight has not affected her career. Or has it?

“How now? That has been working for me. It is difficult to be big and famous. Instead of my weight being a drawback, it has actually been a blessing,” she said.

She must have found it as a curse because she had gastric bypass surgery in Turkey in 2021. In a post on Instagram, she gushed over her new look, stating she’s now every man’s choice.

“Every man’s choice. I can’t even lie. My DM is wild right now. You all should take it easy on me, ooooo.”

Before you take it easy on her, compare how Eniola Badmus looks now and previously.
