Popular Nigerian artiste, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, recently underwent a surgical procedure to address a significant leg injury.
The celebrity disclosed this information through an Instagram video, where he explained that the surgery occurred on May 2, 2023. Falz’s injury resulted from playing football with his friends and specifically involved a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).
In the video, he chronicled his journey, beginning from the moment he received the diagnosis up until the surgery itself.

Accompanying the journey of his injury, surgery and post-surgery period, he wrote,
“Current situation. It’s a whole journey to being 100% back. Say a prayer for me.”
The video displayed when he had the injury in November 2022. Although he didn’t think the injury was serious, he began having severe pains about a week later.
Noticing that the injury was more serious than he thought, the singer and rapper was advised to take an MRI scan. The results confirmed a tear in his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).
After seeing the result, he was advised to undergo a surgery.
He concluded the video by sharing a clip of himself post-surgery, where he was seen using crutches for support while walking.

In an interview with Arise TV, the controversial singer shared why his songs are so confrontational. In his words, he emphasized that life as a Nigerian wasn’t meaningful.
The confrontational songs of Falz became more public when he released the song titled ‘Yakubu”. The song was about the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.
