A Twitter user has described how she and her family members traveled from Lago to Osun for a wedding ceremony, a month before the main event. According to the user, they were unaware of the actual date until they arrived at the venue.
She mentioned it in a Twitter thread started by another user, who explained how she was preparing to attend a wedding ceremony that was not until a week’s time.
Relating to it, Big Baby P, the Twitter user, shared her own experiences of how her father missed the date of her cousin’s wedding. This was not until, they arrived at the venue with other families, and friends they had invited.
According to the thread, her family drove all the way from Lagos to Osun for the wedding. They had dressed up in their asoebi clothes with coolers of food and a bus filled with invited guests.
In her post, she said,
My entire family once wore asoebi, cooked up a storm, and drove from Lagos to Osun State for a wedding that wasn’t until the next month. We even invited folks; they followed us in a full bus.
When the family realized they had arrived for the wedding on the wrong day, they decided to relieve the tension and frustration by throwing a mini-party with the people they had invited and the food they had prepared for the supposed wedding ceremony.
