Nigerian superstar artistes, Tems and Burna Boy have been nominated for the world’s biggest music award, Grammy, on Tuesday, November 15.
Tems’s ‘Wait for U’ was nominated in the Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories.
For the Best Melodic Rap Performance, Tems would be contesting with American rapper Future and Drake.

The female Nigerian pop star was also nominated in the Album of the Year category for her part in Beyonce’s album, ‘Renaissance’.
In the same vein, Burna Boy got a nomination in the Best Global Music Performance category for his hit jam, ‘Last Last’.
His latest album, ‘Love, Damini’, also got nominated in the Best Global Music Album category.
The awards which will be presented on February 5, 2023 in Los Angeles has Beyonce leading the contenders’ list with nine nominations to her name.
She is followed closely by rapper Kendrick Lamar with eight, while Adele and balladeer Brandi Carlile have seven nomination each.
