Nigerian actor, Ifeoluwa Gbadegeshin has clarified that Late Murphy Afolabi’s did not strike his head in his bathroom, as was widely believed on social media.
According to news sources, a lot of people thought Murphy Afolabi died as a result of a restroom slip and fall.
He said at his funeral that Murphy was recovering from some sort of illness, and also that a nurse had checked him just before he passed away.

Gbadegeshin, who was his close friend also said that the late actor slumped and passed out as he made his way to the bathroom, and that by the time people carried and attempted to assist him, it was too late.
He also pointed out that just before he passed away, Murphy was gearing up for production and had just hung up with the person he had given the task of calling the cast.

In another news, the Yoruba Nollywood community is currently mourning the passing of actor Murphy Afolabi.
Tunde Ola Yusuf, his colleague, confirmed the news of his death on Instagram, sending prayers for his soul to rest in peace.
The cause of Afolabi’s death has not been disclosed at this time.
