After losing N400,000 belonging to his mother to betting, a Nigerian man turned to Twitter, to seek help and express his distress.
In a now-deleted tweet, the young man sought help from a crypto enthusiast popularly known on the microblogging platform as Mr. Banks.
The young man identified as Tomiwa shared his dilemma in a reply to @Mrbankstips tweet that said “As you dey chase long shots, make you still dey use my value bets recover stakes, na IDAN moves I give you so.”

Una no dey ever hear word
In his confession and cry, Tomiwa tweeted, “Good morning sir, please help me, I lost over 400k of my mom’s money. I keep chasing my lost. Please, she’s traveling today to buy clothes. I swear I’ll stop betting if you help me. Please. I’ve messaged others no answer. I’m having panic already. I have all the evidence.”
He claimed the money was his mum’s business capital and promised to stop betting if anyone comes to his aid.

Paying tithes with sport betting money is a bribe before God- Mike Bamiloye
Meanwhile, Mike Bamiloye, a popular Nigerian televangelist has advised Christians to desist from paying tithes with sports betting winning as it is a bribe before God.
Bamiloye made this claim via an Instagram post where he wondered why some Christians think they can appease God, blindfold him with gains of betting. To him, it is bribery, an act that is wrong in the eyes of God.
In the post he said, “Bros, You played sport Betting and won and brought the Tithe and Offering to the Lord’s House, to win the Lord to your side. You think you would Blindfold Him and appease Him with a Bribe?”
