I was making too much money — YBNL Boss, Olamide, reveals why he started signing new artistes

Olamide, the beloved Nigerian rapper, has ignited a buzz on social media by disclosing the motive behind signing new artists to his record label, YBNL.

It is no news that Olamide has significantly influenced the careers of many talented and upcoming musicians in the industry.

In a recent interview, the YBNL boss elucidated on what inspired him to sign new artists to his label. He acknowledged that at some point, he was earning so much money that it kept accumulating without any clear purpose.

That’s how the money gets bigger

Olamide said: “I just started stacking up money and the money was becoming too much for me and I’m like ‘I don’t have anything to do with all this money, I need to sign new guys, let me spend money on people’. It’s just like my little way of giving back.”

The controversial Nigerian singer insisted that he was well-known before he ever met either of them.
