If Peter Obi likes he should go to heaven to contest the result – Son of DSS DG, Abba Bichi

Abba Yusuf Bichi, the son of the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Yusuf Magaji Bichi, has expressed his belief that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is wasting his time by challenging the outcome of the general election.

Bichi made this statement on Instagram in response to the pre-hearing of the presidential election tribunal on May 8.

The budding footballer claimed that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the legitimate President of Nigeria and that even if Peter Obi were to “go to heaven” to contest the result, it would not change anything.

2023 Elections outcome: Peter Obi addresses world press conference

In another story, the candidate of the Labour Party addressed a world press conference, following the aftermath of the presidential election in Nigeria, which was marred by allegations of massive rigging.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, March 1, declared the flagbearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, President-elect despite calls from opposition parties like the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the electoral umpire to suspend proceedings.

The Labour Party and several other parties rejected the election outcome because INEC failed to play by the rules of the game and didn’t transmit results from the polling units as enshrined in the electoral act and promised by the commission’s chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu.
