A video of popular BBN star, Uriel eating a local dish while wearing a glove stirred reactions from netizens.
The chef and former Big Brother Naija housemate posted a video of herself eating amala and Ewedu with Gbegiri soup on her Instagram page, while trying to advertise the brand.
However, the way she ate the meal did not sit well with many netizens, as they criticized her eating style.

In the video, a nylon glove was on Uriel’s hand as she ate her meal. At the end of the video she explained that she wore the gloves because of her artificial nails.
It’s food gloves and I have long nails
Many Nigerians thought it was strange that she was eating with a glove and did not think twice to drag her.
An Instagram follower @engrkunlexy4u wrote that “You can’t be chewing Amala,we need justice for yoruba swallow,it’s called swallow not chewing swallow”
Another wrote @sanyaolufunmilayo_o”I am? sure you cannot enjoy it like that with the glove on”
Some of her followers supported her @styledbyzinah wrote “Why didn’t you use fork, why didn’t you use spoon. You people should leave her alone. While eating in your house use fork and spoon. Live and let other live”
Another wrote @officialifyliz “It’s very important that people mind their Business. Let people do what they are comfortable with! You can only live your own life not other people’s! Uriel has a reason to enjoy her meal with a pair of gloves! Let her be please. Let’s normalize minding our business!”
Uriel clarified that she was wearing a food glove in response to one of her followers who suggested that she should have used cutlery instead of a glove.
She specifically wrote:
“It’s food gloves and I have long nails. Thank you dear”
Another follower felt that it was not healthy for her to use hand gloves, Uriel replied and said:
“well I used gloves dear”

In another story, BBNaija season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, and the season’s 2nd runner-up, Bella Okagbue gave a word of advice in a video.
They scoffed at females who have to wake up at different hotels every morning just to maintain standards. Despite scoffing they concluded saying “As an adult, do you!”
The BBNaija stars expressed the sense of fulfilment that comes with being able to afford one’s own luxury without compromising. They spoke of the need for hardwork and the joy of eating the fruit of one’s legit labour.
