The remarkable young lady, Sharon Mbabazi, successfully funded her education through brickmaking and bricklaying, culminating in her graduation from Muteesa I Royal University in Masaka, Uganda.
Sharon Mbabazi encountered multiple difficulties following the loss of her mother at the tender age of 5. Nevertheless, she demonstrated remarkable resilience by engaging in brick production as a means of livelihood.

Reflecting on those days, she shared,
“My fellow villagers used to taunt me for missing school due to unpaid fees, labeling us as impoverished because our house was made of unstable soil. These experiences motivated me to strive harder, proving my capability to transform not only my life but also my family’s. And, indeed, my determination prevailed. Despite instances of customers failing to honor payments for my bricks, I remained unwavering, grounded in my origins and resolute in never surrendering.”
The exceptional lady working as bricklayer had a dedication that led to her successful attainment of a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.
Aaron Mbwali, a fellow classmate, shared the lady working as bricklayer’s narrative on social media, describing her as an industrious individual always eager to explore new avenues. He commented,
“Mbabazi exhibited unparalleled diligence; her academic accomplishments stem from a profound thirst for learning. She has consistently challenged us and exhibited a willingness to embrace novel ventures. The judgments she faced due to her involvement in bricklaying did not deter her.”
With her academic journey behind her, Sharon Mbabazi embarked on establishing her own enterprise—a furniture store.
She has since provided employment opportunities while offering counsel to the younger generation, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of aspirations and never relinquish their dreams.
