No Rally Will Be Allowed at Lekki Tollgate -Lagos Police

The Lagos State police have insisted that no rally will be permitted at the Lekki Tollgate on October 1st.

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos State police spokesperson, the information became necessary to inform Nigerians planning to assemble at the Lekki tollgate.

He stated that, “A court of competent jurisdiction has ruled that no one is permitted to converge on the Lekki Tollgate for any reason”.

The came after a federal high court in Lagos issued an order prohibiting supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi from holding any rally at the tollgate or anywhere else in Lagos.
