Nigerian man bags first class degree in Computer Science, wins 2 awards for his outstanding performance

A Nigerian man named Folayan Michael Yemi has bagged his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the Federal University of Technology Akure with a 4.60 Cumulative Grade Point Average, CGPA.

His outstanding performance earned him two different awards from the university and different notable organizations.

Michael shared his achievement of graduating with an outstanding grade on Twitter.

”Today, I was awarded with First Class Honours in Computer Science (B.Tech, FUTA). I dedicate this achievement to: God Almighty.CGPA: 4.64/5.0,” he said.

Michael won the award of First Bank Nigeria PLC’s Top 3 Best Graduating Students of the Computer Science Department and the QuickSoft Solution Prize for Best Performance in Web Application Development (CSC 415).

He said he is reflecting on his academic journey which has been a great journey filled with academic prizes and accomplishments. While at the university, he was the Interswitch campus ambassador.

He was also a beneficiary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund Scholarship. Folayan thanked his parents, siblings, lecturers, and friends for their support and contribution to his success.
