If the sector of a circle of an angle of 60° with a radius of 30 cm is bent to form a cone, find the base radius of the cone.

To find the base radius of the cone formed by bending a sector of a circle, we need to determine the circumference of the base of the cone. The sector of the circle, with an angle of 60° and a radius of 30 cm, will form one-sixth (60° is 1/6 of 360°) of the entire circle.
Let’s calculate the circumference of the circle first:
Circumference of the circle = 2 * π * radius Circumference of the circle = 2 * 3.14 * 30 cm Circumference of the circle ≈ 188.4 cm
Since the sector forms one-sixth of the circle, the circumference of the sector can be calculated as:
Circumference of the sector = (1/6) * Circumference of the circle Circumference of the sector = (1/6) * 188.4 cm Circumference of the sector ≈ 31.4 cm
The base of the cone is formed by bending the sector, and its circumference is approximately 31.4 cm. We know that the formula for the circumference of a circle is given by:
Circumference of the circle = 2 * π * r
where “r” is the radius of the base of the cone. We can rearrange this formula to solve for the base radius “r”:
r = Circumference of the base / (2 * π)
Now, let’s plug in the value of the circumference of the base:
r = 31.4 cm / (2 * 3.14) r ≈ 5 cm
So, the base radius of the cone is approximately 5 cm.

1. Ben finished either immediately before or immediately after David.
2. Edgar finished third
3. Adam did not finish last
4. There were no ties.

Which of the following is the possible order of the students from first to last?
