Netizens celebrate Hilda Baci’s new record, Guinness World Record yet to endorse her, gives reasons

Guinness world record is yet to endorse popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci as the new Guinness world record holder for longest cooking hours, stating that they need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming the record.

Top Nigerian chef, Hilda Buci, on Monday morning broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.

She cooked for over 88 hours and is still cooking, beating the old Guinness World record previously held by an Indian Chef, Lata Tondon who made meals for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.

Hilda Baci at the time of writing this report, cooked for 91 hours and still cooking.

Her first aim was to beat the 87 hours and 45 minute record which was previously held by Lata Tondon, and she achieved that as at around 7.46am on Monday morning.

She did not stop at just breaking the record , but she has gone on to smash the Guinness World Record, and aims to cook for more than 96 hours.

Her live video captured people screaming to show how very proud they are of her.

It should be noted that for the past four days that her cooking hackathon has unified many Nigerians for all works of life as they congregate at her cooking station.

She also garnered a lot of reviews from nitizens.

Guinness World Records finally shared a post on twitter after being queried for not commenting about chef Hilda Baci’s cook-a-ton.

Here is their comment :

“We are aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record”

Meanwhile, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has showed his support for chef Hilda Baci as she attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.

Chef Hilda Bassey Effiong, popularly known as known as “Hilda Baci,” is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

On Thursday,11th of May she begun a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State where she aims to cook non-stop for 96 hours, with no sleep for four nights, in an attempt to surpass the current record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.
