NFF Election: Pastor Emmanuel Backs Seyi akinwunmi

A member of the Akwa Ibom Football Association, Pastor Emmanuel Brown, has reportedly expressed his support for NFF presidential candidate Seyi Akinwunmi.

Expectations from Nigerians, especially football stakeholders, are high as they are hopeful that the incoming President will usher in a new era that will lead football in Nigeria to the “Promise land.”

September, 30th, 2022 will see the emergence of a new Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President if the proposed elections hold.

Pastor Emmanuel Brown, member Akwa Ibom State FA

“I see him (Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi) as the top contender for the position of NFF President.

“I am not just saying it, I am also pouring out my heart that my Chairman and the entire members of Akwa Ibom state Football Association are also throwing their weight behind Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi.

“Not that others are not there but we are talking of having the ability to change the face of things that has to do with football in this country.

“And for us in Akwa Ibom FA, BSA is the man that will change the face of Nigerian Football and take us to the “Promise land.

“He has the experience and he’s also exposed because he has been in the system for a very long time as the 1st Vice President and he’s a man who loves to do something new.

“He is innovative, an administrator that has the technical ability to place this on a positive pathway in not just international football but our grassroots football.

“I am not putting sentiment here; I am talking from the perspective of what he can do.

“For instance, if you look at the FA in Lagos, it’s one of the best we have in this country administratively, they generate their funds to run competitions and other things that they do is a testimony to what I am trying to bring but I know that the Nation itself has its own factors but that shouldn’t come in play here”.

He continued that, “The Amaju Pinnick-led board has done their best but to me, their best wasn’t good enough.

“Not that they didn’t do well, but in everything, there are levels. As our faces are different, so are our ideas, so he has done his best, and where he has stopped, I believe if people like Seyi Akinwunmi are given the mandate to lead football in this country, definitely we will have all cause to say thank you to the Almighty God”.

Pastor Brown believes the Amaju Pinnick-led board was filled up with credible people and they did their best but he believes the incoming government definitely will do better than the previous government.
