In 2013, a Nigerian guy known as Ogbaugu David Uka or Iwu disguised as Pastor Davison entered India on a business visa.
He had set up a drug network while posing as a pastor and had entered India in 2013 on a business visa.
On August 16, 2023, he was apprehended for supplying ecstasy pills to his known dealers. 264 ecstasy tablets totaling Rs 10.56 lakhs in value were among the seized items, along with two cell phones.

Ogbaugu David Uka, a resident of Bangalore, was a key player in the city’s drug trade. His belongings and properties, which amount to about ₹4 crore, are being sought for confiscation.
He frequently visited Hyderabad, where seven of his friends were recently arrested in connection with separate crimes.
C. V. Anand, director of TSNAB and commissioner of the Hyderabad Police, claimed that the accused, who lives in Bangalore, is the top dog in the city’s drug supply. Anand said:
“His property and belongings are worth about ₹4 crore. We are making efforts to have them all seized. He used to frequently travel to Hyderabad. In the recent past, seven of his peddlers were arrested in two different crimes registered at Kachiguda and KPHB”.
We are not entirely sure of the details he shared about himself and his network. We are talking to the Ministry of External Affairs to crosscheck the information shared by him and are also working on a way to control other foreign nationals involved in such offences.”
According to reports, the suspect purported to be a pastor while serving as the All India Nigerian Students and Community Association’s welfare chairman. This organisation primarily focuses on offering Nigerians who have been detained for drug-related offences assistance, including as bail, and legal support.
The individual, aged 58, employed fake ID cards with made-up names to hide who he truly was. Additionally, he used a counterfeit visa. By obtaining SIM cards under different people’s names, he engaged in unlawful actions.

Ex-Nigerian Footballer Nabbed for Drug Trafficking
Meanwhile, Okafor Emmanuel Junior, a former Nigerian footballer has been arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja for alleged drug trafficking.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), announced this in a statement on their Twitter handle. The statement by the agency was posted on Sunday, 2nd October 2022.
