After nine years of infertility, a Nigerian woman gave birth to a set of five children and appealed to the government for help.
Mrs. Chidinma Amaechi, a homemaker, gave birth to a set of five children after being childless for nine years.
On Thursday, March 28, 2023, the woman underwent a cesarean delivery at Life International Hospital in Awka, Anambra State, giving birth to the quintuplets, which included three boys and two girls.

After completing her National Youth Service Corps training in July of last year, Mrs. Amechi, then 28 years old, married Mr. Tochukwu Ameachi, a small-time merchant from Onitsha.
Five times the blessing
The infants were delivered via cesarean section, according to a hospital staff member, and are currently being cared for in the intensive care unit.
She said: “The children and their mother were responding very well to treatment, and there is no cause for any alarm.”
The elder sister to the nursing mother, Mrs Ebele Oranekwu projected that the bill for the incubators alone is N250,000 for each day, and the children were expected to be on it for about 30 days.
She said: “The bill at the end may amount to about N7.5 million aside from other huge bills already accumulated, in the past two months of managing the delicate pregnancy at the hospital.
“We are calling on Anambra State government, the state Government and Non-Governmental Organisations to come to their aid. enable them to offset the huge medical bills staring them in the face, to reap the full benefits of God’s blessings upon their family.”
First time mum gives birth to triplet boys at 54
Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman who became pregnant at the age of 54 posted pictures of her triplets on social media in celebration.
Following the birth of the adorable infants, the woman used the handle @funmiedeni on TikTok to share a popular video of her growing belly.
The woman danced joyfully in the video while wearing several clothing while holding her growing baby bump.
