An older couple returned to Nigeria after living in America for 25 years and taking care of their grandchildren for years.
Their caring family members surprised them with a send-off celebration in America months before they left for their homeland.
One of their grandkids, Nneoma, shared a video of the older couple on TikTok while she described what happened as they returned home.

“No one prepares you for the feeling of growing up and seeing the people you love grow older too. I’m going to miss them,” she captioned the touching video.
Nneoma considered her grandparents to be more than just life partners.
They’ve been together for 62 years
They had been together for 62 years, according to her, and were each other’s best friends.
They watched her develop into a fine young woman and she took pleasure in the fact that they are still alive.
For years, she claimed that the couple shuttled back and forth between Nigeria and the US, taking care of her and her siblings while her parents went to work.
As each member of the family bid the couple farewell at the airport, they were all overcome with emotion.
Netizens also shared in the emotional moment as they marveled at the old couple’s devotion to each other.

The wife, known as @anneibk on TikTok, relocated to the UK three years ago.
She had been away from her husband since then who remained in Nigeria while working out his relocation to UK.
