Omah Lay explained that he was going through a difficult time in his life, and everything seemed to be falling apart.
He struggled to express the source of his pain and confusion, which ultimately served as the basis for the touching lyrics of “Soso.”
“I was in so much pain when I wrote ‘Soso,'” the artist revealed during the interview.
“I was losing my mind, and I couldn’t comprehend what was happening in my life. I was smoking a lot, and nothing seemed to be going right.“
