Only God can intervene — Netizens react to Ini Edo’s comment on Nigeria elections

Popular Nigerian actress and brand ambassador, Ini Edo, made a post that raised some concerns from Nigerian citizens.

The on-screen queen has been making some posts lately about Nigeria and her elections to decide the new president.

On her Instagram story, she shared the need for Nigerians to pray because of some impending heartbreak is coming.

Netizens react to Ini Edo’s post

On her Instagram story, Ini Edo wrote,

“I don’t think Nigerians are ready for the level of heartbreak that seems to be coming. Pray people, pray!”

This raised some comments from netizens, after the post made its way to Facebook. Some of the comments read,

Chigbu Joshua: “Only God can intervene in this matter now. The way they Rig Elections in Nigeria is beyond human comprehension.

Arowolo Joseph Kenny: “I knew many people are not ready for this Election….. And many are controlled beyond their wish…. Nothing concern these Cabals with Nigeria Youth and we can see the outcome….. We can see Nigeria don’t belong to the youth but to some Big men Out there.

Modupe Etta: “I have always known this Inec will be a problem but I still remain positive cos what God can’t do does not exist.

Meanwhile, Nigerians took to the polls to decide the next set of leaders at the 2023 elections. Early results have shown that Labour party candidate, Peter Obi has defeated Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar of the APC and PDP at Aso Rock polling unit.

However, many Nigerians complained about the late arrival of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the polling units in some states in the Eastern part of Nigeria. There were also widespread cases of violence marring elections in some parts of Lagos.

In spite of all these challenges, INEC chairman, Mahooud Yakubu assured that no Nigerian would be disenfranchised in the ongoing presidential and national assembly elections.
