The Ooni of Ife made headlines once again but for controversial reasons after he confessed Jesus Christ as Lord of Lords.
The traditional ruler, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi disclosed on January 7, 2023 that Christ turned his shame into celebration.
He stated that he had many reasons to be grateful to God according to Daily Trust.
Only a fool says there’s no God
He lead a praise and worship session during the New Year Prayers organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
At the meeting, he shared that he had many personal experiences to agree with the bible. He expressed that only fools say there is no God according to Psalms 14:1.
He testified,
“I sat down here last year with a lot of tribulations and storms of life, which I cannot explain, but to God be the glory that my shame has turned to celebration.”
“I observed where I started, hitherto, the Lord has helped me. It is clearly stated to me that the Lord is alive. A fool is anyone that says there’s no God.”
He charged Christians to believe in Jesus Christ and added that He was the son of God.
The Ooni warned youths against allowing politicians to instigate them into violence and other social vices within the duration of the forthcoming general elections.
Nkechi Blessing Woos Ooni Again!
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday stirred reactions online with her recent post on becoming the seventh wife of the Ooni of Ife.
Nkechi posted a photo of herself in an all-white bride-like attire on her Instagram page. She captioned it, reiterating her desire to become an Olori at the Ife palace.
