An Oyinbo lady got herself a mortar and pestle when she visited Nigeria to prepare her favourite delicacy, Pounded yam.

The UK lady @Joannaorou proudly shared on her page how she was determined to get mortar and pestle when she visited Nigeria.

She said that based on her determination, she got the mortar and pestle from a market in Lagos before returning to her country.

The lady’s love for pounded yam is undoubtedly great, and she would sacrifice anything to get it.

I prefer pounding the yam myself 

The Oyinbo lady got a medium-sized mortar and pestle, which weighed about 25 kg when measured.

@Joannaorou said she preferred pounding her yam by herself.

She said whenever she buys pounded yam from an African kitchen in the UK, the pounded yam looks like water, so she prefers to pound it herself to her taste.
