Paul Pogba is injured again

Paul Pogba is injured yet again. Reports suggest he could face up to 30 days on the sidelines as a result of his latest problem.

Juventus have confirmed that Pogba “has suffered a low-grade injury to the adductor of his right thigh”.

They went further to say he has started the rehabilitation process with a view to returning to competitive action.

Sky Italia has said the injury is set to leave Pogba on the sidelines for between 20 and 30 days. Invariably he will miss their remaining fixtures ahead of the upcoming international break, as well as the opportunity to represent France in their qualifiers.

Since re-joining the Italian giants from Manchester United in July 2022, Pogba has been injury-prone. He has made just two appearances totalling 35 minutes.

Without Pogba, Juventus won 4-2 in their Serie A game against Sampdoria on Sunday.

Speaking after the game, manager Massimiliano Allegri told DAZN: “This morning Pogba was taking free kicks and felt a twinge in his adductor. He will have tests tomorrow but will certainly not be there on Thursday or next Sunday so we’ll see him after the break for international duty.”

Allegri also confirmed that Pogba was set to have 30 minutes of game time against Sampdoria before his injury made that impossible.

In a cryptic post after the game, Pogba tweeted ‘reset’. It is not clear if this relates to his recent injury setback.

Juventus also stated that their captain, centre back Leonardo Bonucci, suffered a blunt injury to his left leg. He is being monitored daily by the Turin-based club.
