In the post made by the influence, @Solomon_Buchi, he shared that if a grown woman is working and paying bills, she isn’t independent.

He added that paying bills as a grown person only means they are adults and are doing what they are supposed to do.

He shared that bragging about being an independent woman and paying bills is humourous because every grown adult is meant to handle their bills.

He wrote,

“And when they ask you what you bring to the table in a relationship, you go: ‘I’m an independent woman…’ I don’t get, you’re an independent woman as opposed to what? Being a giveaway beneficiary or begging on the street? You’re taking care of yourself as you should.”
