Nigerian artist and rapper, Rema, has made it into the Guinness World Records with his global hit track ‘Calm Down’.
The Benin-born music star’s song made history as the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart, the world’s first regional streaming chart.

His achievement was recognized by Guinness World Records, who acknowledged him for securing the first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with his track.
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) launched the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022, and Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ debuted at No. 1, where it remained for more than two months.
Guinness World Records has honored the singer for his historic achievement in securing the first number one hit on the MENA Chart.
The singer joins the ranks of other Nigerian musicians such as Femi Kuti and Wizkid, who have also received recognition from Guinness World Records.
