Several bags of rotten naira notes discovered as CBN releases re-designed notes

Following the unveiling of Nigeria’s redesigned Naira notes, another has gone viral online where bags of rotten Naira notes were exposed.

The video showed several bags containing already damaged bundles of Naira notes.

Recall that Battabox earlier reported an incident of rotten cash with a video that showed a rotten box and bank officials.

These are no doubt the results of the newly unveiled redesigned naira notes by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The president unveiled the new N200, N500, and N1000 naira denominations on Wednesday, November 23.

He did this in line with the proposition made by the CBN at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House, Abuja.

Various pictures of the redesigned naira notes have roamed the net with a few netizens, among them, celebrities, criticising its colouration.
