Seun Egbegbe, a Nigerian filmmaker, has finally reunited with his mother just days after regaining his freedom after six years in prison.
Recall that on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi released Egbegbe, who was imprisoned in 2017 for fraudulently obtaining money by false pretense from no less than 40 bureau de change operators across Lagos.
After reviewing his case, the presiding judge, Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, found Egbegbe guilty of only one of the 44 counts against him.
According to Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, 43 of the 44 cases were dismissed due to a lack of witnesses to back up the allegations.
Egbegbe was reunited with his mother yesterday, October 25, just days after regaining his freedom.

He took to Instagram to share a video of the emotional moment he reunited with his mother after six years apart.
The video showed Egbegbe arriving at his mother’s shop and his mother’s heartfelt reaction to seeing him.
The delighted woman can be heard thanking God as she fights back the tears while hugging her son.
Egbegbe shared the video on his Instagram page with the caption, “Seeing my mum yesterday after 6 years means a lot to me…….what an emotional and exciting moment.”
