A mother got back from abroad only to discover that the money she has been sending to her daughter was gone.
The woman, Jane Wambui Mburu toiled in Saudi Arabia for nine years, hoping to improve the lives of her son and 25-year-old daughter, Hottensia Wambui.
She sent everything she saved to her daughter, Hottensia only for her to come back and discover it’s all gone.

During that time, the 42-year-old single mother left her only daughter to look after the younger brother and rented them a house in Kiambu, Kenya.
Wambui’s daughter had a son while she was away, and the caring mother decided to pay for private school for him as well.
As time went on, the mother began to feel that, given her old age and the nature of her work, she could no longer keep working in Saudi Arabia.
She looked very worried and disturbed
She had been transferring money home to be kept in an account, so she knew she was going home to settle down. However, when she arrived, she received the shock of her life.
“She kept assuring me that the money was very safe in her account, almost KSh 2 million. When I came back in December I realised she looked very worried and disturbed,” Wambui told Kenya’s TUKO.co.ke’s Hillary Lisimba.
After further investigation, she realized that her daughter had been spending lavishly and on her friends.
She even bought a car
Even worse, she recently signed a contract to borrow a car, paid a deposit of KSh 500,000 (N1.8 million), and agreed to make monthly payments of KSh 62,500 (N232K).
Wambui also said, “Three months down the line, she only received KSh 10,000 (N37k) from her friend driver who has been using the car as a cab. The driver told her business is slow.”
Wambui complained that schools are resuming, she has no job, and the money she thought she would use for school fees is missing, which adds to her stress.
“I had planned to start business here in Kiambu and also pay for school for my children, but as we speak even money to buy food is a problem,” she noted.
I will never forgive her
Wambui continued by saying that even though her daughter pleaded for mercy, all of her efforts and sacrifices have been for nothing.
Given that her own daughter squandered her hard-earned money, it is even harder for her to handle.
“I will never ever forgive her, unless she returns that money. I’ve really struggled for it for many years,” she concluded.

Mother kicks out her jobless daughter
Meanwhile, a woman threw her 30-year-old jobless daughter out of the house just to teach her a lesson.
In the video trending on TikTok, the mother was gathering her belongings into a black nylon and throwing them out.
The young lady stood outside making a call as her mother gathered her things.
