The throwback video of Popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo has stirred different reactions online.
In the video, Mercy Chinwo was performing the song of legendary afrobeat musician, Fela Kuti.
The talented singer was performing the song on the popular TV reality show Nigerian Idol 2012 in which she was also a contestant.
She performed the hit track, “Zombie,” on stage which she did exceptionally.
She impressed Femi Kuti
This was what brought the singer to limelight as she emerged the winner of the 2012 Nigeria idol.
In the video, Mercy Chinwo was brought to the stage while lying in a box.
On getting to the stage, she opened the box and came out performing with lots of enthusiasm.
Her exceptional and energetic performance impressed the judges and most especially Fela Kuti’s first son, Femi Kuti who was also one of the judges.

In another news, Netizens flooded Mercy Chinwo’s Instagram page with congratulatory statements when they suspected she is pregnant.
The dazzling gospel singer, who got married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa in August 2022, posted Valentine’s day notice for women on her Instagram page @mercychinwo.
She advised women to not be conned by their husband’s sweet words this Valentine, and instead demand to be pampered. Still, netizens bypassed her notice to drop their felicitations.
