A Nigerian man has recounted to social media users his experience of how his landlord threatened him out of his apartment just after 6 months of renting the house.
The man identified as @folastag shared this on Twitter, explaining that he spent millions of naira to renovate the house but his landlord sent him packing after 6 months.
According to him, the landlord claimed to need the apartment for his family who are coming from the US but was shocked that shortly after he left, the man put the apartment on lease for twice the price he paid.

The young man’s statement read “I went through one of the worst experiences of my life between August 2022 and January 2023… After moving into a new space in February 2022, spending millions to renovate and set up the space. The Landlord issued a quit notice exactly 6 months after…”
In a subsequent post, @folastag revealed the landlords face and identified him as Edafe Okurume aka Blackmon while also adding that his family called him from the US and informed him that he’s mentally ill and was lying about them coming to Nigeria.

Landlord auction tenant’s underwear for owing him rent
Meanwhile, a Kenyan landlord put up his tenant’s underwear for auction because the young man did not pay his rent.
The auction notice was published in the local dailies on January 30, 2023, and has attracted the attention of social media users.
According to Kinsumi-based Nyaluoyo Auctioneers, they were mandated by the landlord of one Zachariah Sichenje Masika to auction the tenant’s properties.
