Employees Unmasked: It’s a Wild Ride!

The era of monkey dey work baboon dey chop is finally over. Everyone has relocated to the streets, hustling day and night for the pay slip. This has fetched tons of manners of employees in the tunnel, with many of them having in their resume a list of tasks they hope you never ask them to do.

Many of them understand that discretion is being able to raise your eyebrow instead of your voice. However, most get plenty of work, just to jump to conclusions and dodge deadlines. A lot thought they wanted a career, but as it turns out, all they wanted was a paycheck. And then, there are some who believe that some errors are just too fun to make only once.

The saying, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”, is the employees’ mantra for getting out of work. However, the reverse of “all play and no work makes Jack a lazy boy” is like a punch to the gut! Most employees are allergic to the second idiom and would prefer to only flex the first one.

Investopedia defines an employee as an individual hired to perform a specific job or service in return for remuneration. Anyone who works in an office, as long as they have someone above them on the organizational ladder, is an employee. So, stop jumping up and down, shouting “I’m the boss, I’m the boss” simply because they put you in charge of a team.

The only difference between you and the people you’re shouting at is that you’re a bit higher up. Monkey na monkey, whether white, black or lapis lazuli.

Which kind of employee are you? What kind of employee do you work with or wish to hire? Are you ready to explore the diverse world of employee types? I know you want me to hit the nail on the head like sharply, sharply, but unfortunately, I have switched my profession. I no do Carpentry again, it’s not my calling.
