Wetin eye no go see – Traditional worshippers pray in the name of Jesus

A viral video of some traditional worshippers praying in Jesus’ name has stirred up mixed reactions from netizens.

While praying, the traditional worshippers suddenly switched from their traditional prayer to the Christian style of prayer.

The marine worshippers dressed in all-white clothes. Their leader, a woman, led them in prayers. She started with their traditional way of praying while the rest responded.

After the group leader finished, one of the ladies took over and also led them in prayers, but this time, she started with ”In Jesus’ name.”

You cannot serve two master

She prayed in the Christian way, and everyone responded with a resounding Amen. The lady even quoted a scripture in her prayer.

While reacting to the post, some people applauded them for acting on the concept of ”one God,” but others thought it was inappropriate for them to mix traditional religion with Christianity.

They believe that anyone who is truly a Christian should not mix their faith with traditional worship, as the Bible also says that one cannot serve two masters.

Native doctor converts to Christianity

Meanwhile, a Ghanaian native doctor who practiced voodooism for years gave his life to become a bishop of a Methodist Church in Ghana.

The former native doctor, Matthew Zikpi, got a job as the bishop of the Ho Diocese of the Methodist Church of Ghana.

This came several years after he converted to Christianity and rose through the religion’s ranks.
