A Nigerian based in the USA, Professor Saheed Aderinto, has again made Nigeria proud while in Diaspora by winning the international award known as the Dan David prize.

Professor Saheed Aderinto, a professor of History and African Diaspora Studies at Florida International University, was elected one of the winners of the international award on the 28th of February, 2023.

In the just concluded prize-giving award, 9 people were awarded the sum of $300,000, in which the Nigerian Professor was one of them.

He schooled in Ibadan

Professor Aderinto was given a scholarship for situating African history at the cutting edge of diverse literature in the history of s3xuality, nonhumans, and violence, which the selection committee said is not easy for an individual to attain.

The professor who hailed and schooled in Ibadan (BSE level) has published 8 books, 37 journal articles and book chapters, 41 encyclopedia articles, and 21 book reviews.

The 2023 Dan David award ceremony is scheduled for May 2023 in Israel.

Lady receives three PhD scholarships to study overseas

In another news, a brilliant Nigerian lady who graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria has wowed many by earning three (3) scholarships in the United Kingdom and Taiwan.

The lady, Mary Kenneth, graduated as a computer scientist with a grade point average of over 96%.

On her LinkedIn profile, she wrote that she applied for numerous scholarships, received numerous rejections, and was finally awarded 3 scholarships.
