A young female civil engineer from Nigeria became the best graduating student from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), with a cumulative grade point of 4.84 out of a possible 5.
Oluwaseyi Adewumi, a young woman from Nigeria, enrolled at the University of Lagos in 2015 to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
Over the course of five years, she put in a lot of effort to become the top student in her department.

While announcing her accomplishment on Linkedin, Oluwaseyi disclosed that she had broken a 59-year-old institution record.
The record traditionally has been held by male graduating students and she broke it by becoming the best student to graduate from her faculty.
She further revealed her intellectual prowess by stating that between her first and last year in college, she had won 11 scholarships and several more prizes.

Nigerian man emerges best-graduating student in Cyprus
Meanwhile, a Nigerian man, Olaoluwa Shadrack Araromi, has done his country proud after emerging as the best-graduating student at the University of Cyprus, North Nicosia, Cyprus.
The young Nigerian who studied Environmental science in his Master’s degree Programme acquired a CGPA of 3.94 out of the possible 4.00.
Olaoluwa, who hails from Ondo state, Iju Odo in Okitupupa Local Government area, got his Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from the Adekinle Univerity, Akungba Akoko, where he graduated with a second-class result.
