Take Off, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball (June 18, 1994 – November 1, 2022), “ was a well-known American rapper who gained fame as the youngest member of Migos, a hip-hop trio that also included his uncle, Quavo, and cousin, Offset.

He started making beats and developing various rhythms in the seventh grade but did not start producing music professionally until the year 2011.

Following a private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston’s GreenStreet commercial development area, Take Off was shot multiple times in the head and torso.

This grim incident occurred after an altercation broke out among a large group gathered outside the venue’s third-floor entrance, with at least two gunshots being fired.

Before that, a video had been posted by Quavo showing that he was driving around Houston with Jas Prince Jr., the son of James Prince, who was celebrating his father’s birthday.

The time of death was by 2 am. The rapper was found dead on arrival, while the two other victims were transported to hospitals by private vehicles. 

The loss of such a talented artist has shocked and saddened fans worldwide. The news aggrieved many celebrities- the Designer had taken a break from releasing music following his death. Other celebrities like Keke, Teyana Taylor, Cardi B, and Chloe had taken to social media to post about the incident.

Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested in connection with Take Off’s death. The man was later released on a $1 million bond in early January 2023. 

Towards the end of May 2023, he was indicted for the murder. Many people claimed that he was killed because he had bad blood with many people. He also had a criminal past. 

Once, the rap trio and 12 members of their entourage were arrested for possession of marijuana, firearms within a school safety zone, and firearms by convicted felons.

On August 5, 2020, news broke that Take Off had a civil lawsuit filed by a female victim on charges of “s3xual battery, assault, false imprisonment, gender violence, and interference with civil rights.”
