Al Nassr unveils Cristiano Ronaldo, says it’s not the end of his career

Cristiano Ronaldo has officially been unveiled as an Al-Nassr player.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, 37, was unveiled after completing his medicals today.

Ronaldo at his unveiling said coming to the Saudi Arabian league is not the end of his career.

“The evolution of football is different, so for me, it’s not the end of my career coming to Saudi Arabia.

“I’m really happy to be here, the league is very competitive. I know that because I saw many games.

“I’m a unique player, so it’s good to come here. I beat a few records there (in Europe) and I want to beat a few records here as well.”

The Portugal skipper will also become an ambassador for Saudi Arabia’s 2030 World Cup bid.

Ronaldo claims his “work is done” in Europe. “I want to give a different vision of the country of the football and the perspective of everybody.

“In Europe, my work is done, I won everything. For me now it’s a new challenge.”

Ronaldo said he had many opportunities all over the world to continue his career but gave ‘his word’ to Al Nassr.

“I can say now I had many opportunities in Europe, many clubs in Brazil, Australia, US, even in Portugal, many clubs tried to sign me.

“But I gave my word to this club for the opportunity to develop not only the football, the other parts of this amazing country.

“For me, it’s a good challenge. I know what I want and I know what I don’t want as well.”

The people of Saudi Arabia have been lovely with me and my family.”

Ronaldo became the highest-paid sportsperson when he signed with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
