About You 

The ideal candidate will help us grow and administer our brand by distributing our content on University campuses. This is a part-time role, therefore, you’ll need to be self-motivated, highly organized and relish working in a busy, fast-paced. Ultimately, you should be able to generate creative marketing ideas on your campus and on social media ensuring high levels of web traffic and engagement. 

You’ll be expected to have an innately fantastic relationship with the English language and must understand both basic and advanced principles of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 

Responsibilities 

● Help distribute flyers, posters and or digital media adverts relating to 9JALIST on campus throughout the duration of the contract

● Support our social media strategy and keep up-to-date with the latest on 9JALIST

● Manage our brand image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. 

Minimum Application Requirements – You must have at least 500 followers on either Tiktok or Instagram or both combined

● Applicant must have at least 500 followers on either Instagram or Tik Tok with proven track record of content creation

● Applicant must be enrolled at a higher institution in Nigeria or must have recently graduated in the last 12 months

Requirements 

● Educated to high school level or equivalent 

● Active social-media user and enthusiast with verifiable Instagram or Tik-Tok following

● Excellent copywriting and communication skills

● Demonstrable experience in managing various social media accounts

Ambassadors will be compensated for each new account created by their efforts

Job type: Remote, Contract.

2. Book Keeper/Accountant

The holders of this position will report directly to the CEO. You are expected to handle data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills. Because this is a fully remote position, the ideal candidate is expected to use Zoom and have a working computer, reliable internet for long duration internet calls, screen share and have constant source of electrical power.

About you

• Quickbooks Expert (non-expert need not apply)
• Has 2 years or more experience in Quickboks
• Motivated and driven
• Committed to writing
• Eager to learn
• Honest and ethical
• Have an understanding of Keyword Research
• Ability to help videos get views and clicks
• Some experience with social media
• Some experience making content
• Must be fully committed to Battabox – exclusively
• Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) when writing news topics
• Available to work round the clock
Key Responsibilities

• Ensure correct posting of transactions in the financial system.
• Knowledge of Quickbooks Online is a requirement
• Reconciling the company’s accounts payable and receivable
• Liaising with internal and external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise
• Tracking all payments to internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with budget forecasts for the company
• Continuous management of financial & Inventory systems
• Producing reports and recommendations following internal audits or public sector audits
• Help with Tax accounting
• Explaining billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
• Resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Assist in Month-end closing process and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Dealing with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensuring that reconciliations are completed on a weekly and monthly basis
• Create forecasts, accruals and projections
• Help with other portfolios of BattaBox

Experience

• 2-4 years of Accounting experience
• Experience in any major accounting system with an excellent ability to work on spreadsheets.
• Excellent understanding of accounting policies, standards and processes
• Excellent attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
• Technical skills and competence
• Team player and self-starter
• Ability to influence, inspire and motivate people who are not directly under your responsibility
• Computer literate with experience in using Accounting Systems
• Intermediate Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Awareness and ability to demonstrate the importance of ethics & appropriate codes of conduct in the workplace
• Ability to achieve daily targets while attending to impromptu activities that may occur

Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other related field
