Ashley Payne, a Florida resident, recently achieved an incredible milestone by successfully completing her education at Keiser University. Not only did she obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, but she also stood out as the valedictorian of her class, boasting a flawless grade point average.
What made her accomplishment even more impressive is that she managed to achieve all this while raising seven children. In her valedictorian speech, shared on her YouTube channel, Payne expressed overwhelming gratitude and happiness.

She gave credits to her husband, Joseph, and her seven children for their unwavering support, which served as constant motivation and inspiration throughout her journey. Payne’s academic performance is not new to her as she had previously been the valedictorian during her high school graduation in 2006.
Her path to college was not without obstacles. In 2006, she faced a blood clot in an artery in her lungs. This disrupted her plans and compelled her to prioritize her health and family.
She paused her education temporarily and assisted her husband in managing their party rental business. Nevertheless, her passion for assisting others during childbirth led her to become a doula and birth assistant.
Also, driven by her unique experiences with her own seven children, she decided to return to school to pursue an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse degree in Midwifery.
Keiser University Chancellor, Arthur Keiser, PhD, praised Payne’s achievements as the American mum of 7 graduated college as class valedictorian. He expressed pride in celebrating her as the valedictorian of her graduating class, achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Chancellor acknowledged her determination and highlighted how her success exemplifies the spirit of many Keiser University graduates who strive for excellence while balancing numerous responsibilities.
The American mum of 7 graduated college and is embarking on her next educational endeavor, pursuing a Master of Science degree in Nurse-Midwifery at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
