Labour Party representative wins federal constituency seat, Banky W loses

Labour Party emerges winner of Federal Constituency seat and Banky W loses

The Labour party candidate, Mr Thaddeus Atta has been declared the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer, Funmilayo Odukayo made the official declaration on February 26.

According to the INEC returning officer, Atta won with 24,075 votes and Bankole Wellington (Banky W) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had 18,666 votes and the All Progressive Congress (APC) got 16,901 votes.

Mr Thaddues Atta couldn’t hide his joy as he excitedly took to Twitter to announce his victory.

“I have been declared winner for the House Of Representatives, Etiosa Federal Constituency…Now it’s time to take the mantle and bring good governance to the people,” he tweeted.

Nigerians jubilate as Labour Party wins first National Assembly seat

Meanwhile, Joy flooded the hearts of many Nigerians as they celebrated Labour Party’s first win in the National Assembly seat.

The Labour Party’s Honourable Ginger Onwusibe was named as the representative-elect for the Isialangwa North and South Federal.

The announcement was made by the Independent Electoral Commission, as Ginger defeated the opposing PDP candidate.
